Nick, who
has been skiing since he was four years old cites his most
memorable moment of his skiing career is when he took the gold
medal in the classic sprint in 2009 National Championships.
At only
18 years old, Nick is one of the younger talents on the team and
like all of his team mates, he is setting his sights on good
things in the future including making the junior national team,
going to the World Juniors, and medaling at nationals. Beyond
this year he is planning to work hard and eventually have
international success on the World Cup circuit and Olympics
games.
This 2009
and 2010 Ontario Cup overall champion at one time raced in short
track speed skating and competed in triathlons. This is perhaps
the reason why Nick notes that he looks up to Simon Whitfield
since “he seems like a really cool guy and I have always been a
fan of him.”
Alex
Harvey is an inspiration to Nick. “He has proved to the world
that the Canadians can compete with and beat the best in the
world.” |
